Charlotte has taught a number of Storytelling workshops including those listed below. Please get in touch if there is a particular group you would like her to work with. Workshops can be tailored to suit the needs of each group.
Telling Family Stories
Have you ever wanted to tell your children or grandchildren stories from your life but not known where to start? In this fun, relaxed workshop we will work together to help you bring to life some tales from your own childhood and learn storytelling techniques to help pass them on.
How to tell
An introduction to the craft of storytelling. We will delve into this oral tradition and how we can use it to lift stories off the page and bring them to life. We will look at the fundaments of structure, how to begin to visualise and how to work with spontaneity and improvisation. We will be together in a playful and supportive environment. The workshop includes opportunities to perform and share stories together.
Storytelling for Performers
A storytelling workshop for performers. We look at how to tell stories authentically with presence and without script. We will use a range of material ; folk tales, myths, contemporary and non fiction to learn the fundaments of story structure, visualisation and how bring a story to life with spontaneity and improvisation.
