About

Since 2015 Charlotte has been telling stories in theatres, clubs, on the street and around campfires about the bad press we give to crows, the heist of ancient stones and the most notorious forgotten highwayman there ever was. She is drawn to the place where mythology, folklore, history, science and the every day meet.

Also a circus performer and Artistic Director of leading contemporary circus company Ockham’s Razor, Charlotte has developed a unique, highly physical style. She disentangles tales of power and transformation and asks how do we make sense of the stories we have.

Alongside her own work She has performed in two circus / autobiographical storytelling shows MES' Me, Mother and Ockham's Razor's This Time which she also co-directed. She has worked as a director combining storytelling and movement for the National Centre of Circus Arts, Oddly Moving’s Atlas, Charmaine Child’s, Strong Enough and Gossamer Thread’s FERAL. She was commissioned to make a site specific work for Corby Pole Fair 2022.

Occasionally Charlotte tells stories a bit closer to home and has been a regular at autobiographical storytelling events in London including Spark London, the Tellit Festival at Hoxton Town Hall and as part of the London edition of The Moth, Grand Slam. Two of her stories for The Moth went on to feature on the podcast, links below
